Firmware & Software Engineer

Mechatronics engineer by training, I design and qualify server firmware by day, and spend the rest of my time between robotics, drones, DIY electronics and reading about science, maths, physics and philosophy. I also build Hewta, a community deals platform for Morocco, and as AI ambassador at my company I am writing a book about engineering in the age of artificial intelligence.

What I do

Firmware & embedded systems: BMC, UEFI, embedded Linux, RTOS: the low-level code that boots, monitors and rescues a machine. Applied research, specifications and patches.
Tooling & validation: Internal APIs and automation tools to qualify new server generations, track firmware lifecycle and cut the manual work of hardware teams.
Robotics, drones & DIY: Mechatronics, PCBs, sensors, motors and homemade firmware. I build things that move, fly or measure, first of all for the pleasure of understanding.
Web & product: Hewta, a community deals platform for Morocco: Next.js front end, Go back end, PWA. Designed, built and hosted on my own.
AI & engineering: AI ambassador: experiments with models, LLM-assisted tooling, sharing practices. And a book in progress on what AI really changes in the job.
Science & philosophy: Maths, physics, history of ideas: what feeds the rest. Understand before producing, and keep a critical mind when producing becomes easy.
